Landa Park Golf Course at Comal Springs

Landa park golf course at comal springs is a property owned and maintained by the New Braunfels city. The golf course was first opened in 1938 for a game of nine hole on a course across 61 acres. The golf course was further redesigned in 1972 to make way for a 18 hole layout which led to an expansion of course by 52 acres.  You can also get a coupon to save some money for a fun day playing golf.

In 2013 the City of New Braunfels started a $7 million dollar renovation by Finger, Dye, Spann of Katy Texas which has turned Landa Park Golf Course at Comal Springs into one of the best in Texas.  The renovation touched everything on the course from the tee boxes to the cup. A new area was created for the purpose of short practice games. The renovation also saw addition of new fleet of 2015 EZ-Go golf carts.

The redesign led to complete transformation of Landa Golf course at comal springs from a traditional and straightforward somewhat boring layout into a layout that is fair but demanding, loaded with character and fun holes, and a joy to play.  The redesigning continued for over a year and the park finally re-opened for play in October 2014. The fairways and greens are still maturing and over next several months they are only going to get better than they currently are, which is outstanding.

The best joy of playing at Landa Park is its natural environment and wildlife. You could easily spot a deer grazing and enjoying your game. The park is located next to the beautiful comal river. So, you could have the majestic view of the river at some holes and can even see tubers relaxing in the hot summer days. In case you haven’t been to Landa golf course, make sure to visit it in your next weekend.
